The collaboration between "Fundació La Caixa" and the Consorci del Turó of La Seu Vella, has been very important for us because it allowed us to make the assembly of two exhibitions: L'esplendor retrobada (2004) and Els tapissos de la Seu Vella (2009). The two complicated both by location, La Seu Vella, as by the importance of the pieces, mostly from thirteenth century, also by the unusual formats, tapestries of very great dimensions 12x4 meters, or architectural pieces, furniture and delicate sculptures. In fact we are not wrong when we say that it has been the most complicated and difficult work of our career. That allowed us to get some recognition in the field of museology. "La col·lecció de Tapissos de la Seu Vella" exhibition To present the collection of tapestries from the Seu Vella of Lleida, it is proposed an structure in the form of a Latin cross placed in the center of the nave and transept of the cathedral. This structure is suspended by wires of 4.80 m of height which divide the space by a curtain of translucent fabric, which will base the route of the exhibition. This allows to contemplate the tapestries all together alongside the architectural grandeur of the building. The tapestries are hung on the structure by a carrying gallery that holds the top part of the tapestry. The elevation and placement at the ideal height is predicted with pulleys, facilitating the movement and the levelling of the tapestries, as they all have appreciables varying sizes and weights.
