Originally designed as athletes’ housing for the 1982 Asian Games in New Delhi, the neighborhood is an oasis of green in a residential enclave of South Delhi. Various typologies of residential units were originally designed to house the sportsmen, including single storey and double storey apartments. This project involved the remodel of a ground plus one storey house which also had a basement. The focus was to use simple details and materials while at the same time creating larger opening for better light and ventilation.
