Starck Unveils Prefab House

The P.A.T.H. literature states that 34 different configurations of Starck's "signature timeless design" are available, from a 1-story, 1-bedroom design to the realized model, a 2-story, 8-bedroom design in Montfort l’Amaury, France. A "configurator" on the P.A.T.H. website gives buyers the option of 1- and 2-story models, number of bedrooms, structure type, and roof type. The turn-key prefab design promises a six-month delivery time, about half spent in the factory and about half spent on-site for erection and finalizing MEP, fit-outs, and finishes.

Like the Axor Starck Organic faucet unveiled at ICFF last year, Starck's prefab home designs point to a growing concern with sustainability. This comes across most overtly in the choice of wood as P.A.T.H.'s main building material. Combined with full-height, aluminum-glass exterior walls, the homes are designed to "to integrate the latest smart and green technology of your choice: photovoltaics, solar panels, heat pump, wind turbine or rain water collector."
