Bing BU

Bing Bu is the principal of One Design, a Shanghai based architecture firm with primary focus on urban design but also a wide range of design reaches. His works include the Hongfeng Tech Park at Nanjing, the Wulongtan Resort at Ningbo, urban design for Zhujiajiao watertown, and urban design for Cixi central business district. His works were selected in Shenzhen/Hong Kong Biennale 2007, Utopia2 at CIVA Brussels 2008, and Chengdu Biennale 2011. Bing Bu has also been exploring fields besides architecture and urban studies for years. His art installation work, Cloud Room, traveled to National Art Museum of China in Beijing, Taiwan Art Museum in Taichung, and Kennedy Center in Washington DC, in year 2011. He curated exhibitions including “Ningbo, the metamorphosis of a Chinese city” at Berlin Aedes 2003, “Un-natural” at BCA Beijing 2009, “Spectacle” at PSA Shanghai 2013, and “Fusion Power” at West Bund Art Center, Shanghai 2016. Bing Bu received his bachelor’s and master’s degree of architecture from Tsinghua and Yale respectively. He has been teaching as visiting professor at schools such as Tongji, Shanghai Jiaotong, WUSTL, and USC. Currently he’s the director of 3CitiesAsia program as well as visiting critic at Syracuse University School of Architecture.
