On May 16, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden opened its new Visitor Center, designed by Weiss/Manfredi.
The Brooklyn Botanic Garden's new Visitor Center, designed by Weiss/Manfredi, is a 20,000-square-foot (1,850-sm) "landscraper" that merges building and landscape. Or as partner Marion Weiss described it, "We want to invite people into this green haven, and so the building always defers to the landscape." The landscape design by Weiss/Manfredi with consultant HM Whitefeatures rain gardens, bio-infiltration gardens, and a green roof meadow.
