A rich environment with a view of the beauty of the many islands of the Seto Inland Sea.

Mukojima Island is located just beyond Onomichi City in Hiroshima Prefecture.
It is the first island you will reach if you follow the Shimanami Kaido Road. It is close to a national park and is surrounded by the open sea and sky, with no buildings densely packed around it.

SEEN is an accommodation facility located on Mukojima, where the gentle nature changes with the seasons. The ocean is connected through the windows, and one can enjoy a quiet time in this place with a panoramic view of the landscape.

The architecture is designed to maximize the richness of the environment by opening up to the panorama, and by arranging the two guest rooms not in parallel but intertwined three-dimensionally, the building offers multi-directional views that straddle the upper and lower floors.

Textures are divided into light and dark to create the individuality of the guest rooms. The “deep sea” rooms offer a bright view from the cave-like darkness, while the “shallow sea” rooms let in dazzling light from the sea. deep sea rooms offer a view of the sky and islands, while shallow sea rooms offer a view of plants and islands.
