The X-shaped nursing home corresponds to the corridors of the staggered side streets leading directly to the property. This creates a concise spatial setting that forms a protected entrance courtyard and garden courtyard. The added value for the residents' rooms is created by the open bay windows: these not only offer more usable space, they also strengthen the spatial-atmospheric effect inside and step out of the facade in a three-dimensional manner.
The first construction phase comprises the construction of a new nursing home for 92 residents and was built after the partial demolition of the existing nursing home. On the ground floor of the new building are the service areas such as day care, the practice for occupational therapy and the outpatient nursing service. On the three upper floors there are six residential communities.
A building for assisted living comprised of 73 rented apartments for senior citizens and 2 staff apartments is being built in the second construction phase. Construction work began immediately after completion of the nursing home.
