Jil Bentz is a Luxemburgish architect and head of Studio Jil Bentz since 2018. She received her undergraduate degree in architecture with distinction in 2010 from the Technical University in Munich. In 2014 she graduated from the University of Arts in Berlin in architectural studies. Her final project got distinguished with the Max Taut-Award for the best architectural contribution in the academic year 2013-2014. After gaining two years of work experience at Sauerbruch Hutton, Jil continued her architectural studies in a postgraduate program at Columbia University New York, where she received the highest honor for her diploma project in 2017. She taught with Prof. Kersten Geers in New York at Columbia University and at EPFL in Lausanne.

Hendrik Brinkmann

Hendrik Brinkmann is a constant companion, collaborator, and freelancer at Studio Jil Bentz. Additionally, he maintains strong ties to academia, working as a teaching assistant at the chair of design and construction – DE/CO led by Prof. Jan Kampshoff at the Technical University in Berlin since 2017. Hendrik graduated in architecture from the University of Arts in Berlin in 2017 and the Münster School of Architecture in 2013. In parallel, he worked as a tutor for Prof. Jean-Philippe Vassal and, earlier, Prof. Marc Mer. Throughout his career, Hendrik has achieved several grants and awards, including the DETAIL scholarship in 2016 and an AIV-Schinkel Award in 2016. In 2018, his graduation project “Neue Bauakademie” won the EUmies Award Young Talent.
