Villa Dahlqvist, situated in Lannersta, Saltsjo-Boo in Stockholm, consists of a series of intertwined volumes creating a defined sculptural unit, climbing the hillside. The spaces are carefully placed on the site in order to make fully use of the relatively tight plot.
Exposed bedrock makes a beautiful backdrop for the panorama to the North West. From the sheltered roof terrace a slender foot bridge leads to an area with spectacular view where a future rock garden and patio will be developed.
The uninterrupted white exterior contrasts with the dark floors and staircases of the interior. The interior design is simple, graphic and harmonious. Each room faces a separate direction and look out onto semi enclosed outdoor spaces. In-built furniture integrated into the structure of the building leaves the rooms tranquil and without visual noise.
