The new high-rise of Frankfurt, situated between the central station and the banking district, marks the new entrance of the European district. With its 200m height this tower is formative for the cities skyline. The Tower 185 draws attention and represents efficiency and eco-friendly sustainability. The concept of the façade illumination underlines the building‘s character and its geometry. For this purpuse is the newest LED technology is being used. It emphasizes the buildings transparency and its impressive elevation. Combined with a dynamic software controller, the nightdesign adds a subtle wave movement and creates an unique appearance in the city skyline.
The interior lighting is a combination of diffuse, indirect and direct, brilliant light. The light controlling is also linked to the daylight situation and creates a harmonic and energy-optimized lighting for the internal spaces.
