The reconstruction of the family house is in progress continuously since 2004, when the investor inherited the object from ancestors. The owner is a building engineer, therefor he is making most of the construction work himself. All the changes on the family house are leading towards of remaining the genius loci, which also charmed the Czech writer Alois Jirásek. He added the family house, particularly the garden with the linden tree, into his novel F. L. Věk. The roof over the new part of the building is rising towards the crown of the linden. The layout of the ground floor was modified by shifting the bathroom and bedroom from the demolished old extension into the big existing building. The new volume on the side of the house became the living room and the main area of the house. The volume also has higher ceilings than the rest of the house and is orientated to the west sunny side. Two new bedrooms with a private bathroom are situated in the attic of the house. The garden was also rebuilt where exotic plants were removed and replaced for local plants.
