Flexible spatial machine
The Schützenwiese office and industry park is prominently situated like a flagship directly at the motorway access. The central office tower, which stretches across the property’s entire width, harmoniously integrates the lateral production wings into the dynamic building. Ramps compensate for the undulations in the terrain, providing access to several fully usable levels.
In the north, two high production floors are docked onto the office tower. The single-storey southern sector with shops includes partial mezzanines. The hall at the centre of the office tower forms the official entrance for resident companies. In order to guarantee the user community the potential for future growth and conversions, the column-free storeys are kept functionally open in the administrative building. Thus the structure resembles a flexible spatial machine.
Inside, the atmosphere of an elegant office complex dominates. The production level is on the ground floor at the rear of the building, its appearance unobtrusive due to its dark glazing. Above it, the office tower with its uniform metal façade integrates the upper production level into its formal silhouette. Windows with notable dark frames structure the façades. High-quality sandwich panels add another dimension to the surface design with their light-sensitive colour behaviour.
The area is heated and cooled by ground water. Sustainable planning and design, as well as high-quality choices of materials also fulfil future use requirements and ensure an energy- and environment-friendly use of resources.
