‚House in the wind‘ - derives its name from its curved facade. The office building has a penthouse for guests and is located in the marina of Düsseldorf. The facade appears to be sculptured by a wind gust, like sails bulging in the wind. This dynamic impression is visible not only from the outside, but also shapes the building‘s interior on each floor with their fully glazed facades.
Our task was to carry the dynamics of the architecture into the interior. The expressive and elegant interior combines minimalist shapes, colours and materials with aesthetically dominating art déco pieces from the clients own collection. In this way, we created a decidedly personal interior that intensifies the character of the impressive architecture.
