In the urban Deutschherrnviertel in Frankfurt Sachsenhausen, Franken Architekten has planned a high-quality residential building for the Lechner Group with 28 apartments from 49 to 144 m² living space, two penthouse apartments and a practice or office space.
The contemporary and future-oriented architecture of GERBER 34 is based on the postmodern perimeter block development of the quarter, but subtly breaks it up in detail. The cubic form of the building is broken at one edge. Instead of the subtractive perforated façade, a facade type emerges from an addition of small cubes. The exterior design already reflects the high standards that are confirmed in the floor plan and furnishings. GERBER 34 will form a harmonious ensemble with the adjoining building, since this will be redesigned in the same architectural language.
All apartments have a maximum of open space with at least one terrace, roof terrace or balcony, the ground floor apartments with private gardens. Many of the "open spaces" are glazed, most of them facing south or west. The sales start is in January 2018.
