Our design integrates the thick cable strands passing through the room and the still used high switching modules as visible and influential elements. Like streams the cables flow throug cutouts in the new screed which remains visible and raw. The cable beds are glazed illuminated. Likewise, we leave visible original brickwork, old slab offsets and ventilation ducts. For the tonal demands we covered the walls with acoustic surfaces and gray industrial felt. Similar to the cable flows is the free form of the carpet like poured in space. It forms 3 soft islands for luxurious chair. With its rough, irregular surfaces painted completely gold the smokers lounge radiates paradoxical glamor. We used the peculiar shapes of windows and concrete column. Starting from the original design pendant lights in the house we deve¬loped a floor lamp and used its geometry for the golden curtain. The new box builds on the humour, diversity and apparent lightness of the revue and derives its individuality from the effortless, casual-looking mix of the untreated existing building, modified original and new elements.
