New construction of a multi-family house

The new apartment building is quietly situated at the end of the cul-de-sac on Kloster Street.
The building law conditions lead to a building of maximum 10x15m. In order to guarantee the future residents high quality living space, a strong focus was placed on all rooms and details.
The architectural language of the existing neighbouring houses with their long-lasting tradition of gable roof and shutters is transferred and interpreted in the new building: a cubic pitched roof house with exposed concrete façade and traditional oak shutters. At the end of the path is the funnel-shaped entrance area that welcomes you inside. The generous windows invite curious glances into the garden and the street, and are designed as cosy seating areas.
Although the floor plans of the flats are similar, they have subtle differences that give each of them their own identity. The two flats on the ground floor are directly connected to the garden. The three flats on the first floor, on the other hand, are designed as maisonettes, and the vertical dimension is emphasised by the staircase core.
