Not far from the Neusiedlersee lake in Burgenland in Andau, the hotel designed by Arkan Zeytinoglu Architects named The Resort lies embedded in the middle of the vines of the vineyard owner and building owner Erich Scheiblhofer. The new building not only completes the family-owned operation focussed on the production of high-quality wines, but also has the aspiration of merging the best quality of architecture and design with the culinary art.

Integrated into the landscape, the new building appears as a restrained, drawn out structure. The exclusivity of the space can only be felt from the interior life: maximum outlook and views of vines, water worlds as well as luxurious internal space with over twelve metre ceiling height and natural daylight. The concept by Arkan Zeytinoglu takes on the structure of a typical Burgenland village built around a village green, and interprets its archaic, rural settlement pattern in a contemporary form. The heart of the hotel complex is the central "village square", that combines within it the lobby, reception, bar, wine store, shop and lounge, full of a variety of niches, corner seating areas and lounges. It also acts as a distribution point with stairs and bridges, and groups all public zones such as restaurant, children's areas, spa, beauty and wellness areas or outside facilities such as terraces and pools around it. The area intended exclusively for hotel guests surprises not just with unusual, generous ceiling heights, the sightlines also provide different perspectives again and again, offering different spatial experiences in the resort.

The 118 guest rooms are found in the structures above the ground floor and are connected with covered walkways. From superior room to a generous suite, all the rooms are characterised by high-quality equipment. The inspiration for the minimalist design comes from nature. The mix of warm wood, a tasteful colour palette in earth tones and anthracite with modern technology and plants underlines the elegant and at the same time cosy atmosphere. Reduced to the essentials, the LS 990 range in anthracite impresses with its restrained design that fits uncompromisingly easily into modern furnishing styles with a distinct appearance and style. Fittingly for the aspirations of convenience, the public areas of the hotel were equipped with an intelligent KNX system from JUNG.
