Born in Osaka, Japan, Takanori Ihara graduated from Kanto Gakuin University. Following his graduation, he worked at an architectural firm, designing commercial buildings and private residences. Subsequently, he was involved in commercial facility development at CIA.Inc. He then joined Noriaki Okabe Architecture Network, where he contributed to projects such as the “Nagaoka Cultural Creation Forum” and the “Odakyu Romancecar VSE”. After establishing his own practice, Ihara focused on designing private residences, developing low-cost, movable housing using shipping containers, and creating a master plan for a “Parau-resort development project”. In 2009, he founded Far East Design Lab (FEDL) and has since been leading a diverse range of projects.
