45 of 356, or Some of the Projects Vying for the EU Mies Award
Of the 356 projects from 39 countries competing for the 2017 European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award, we highlight some of the contending projects designed by World-Architects member firms.
The announcement by the European Commission and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe with the list of the 356 nominated works happened last month. Now the jury is scheduled to select 40 shortlisted projects from the 356 works in early February. Later in that month the jury will narrow down the shortlist to five finalists, after which they will visit each building to determine the winners, to be annouced in May.
Click on the names of the architects to see their profiles on World-Architects and click the projects to see them in more depth on the Miesarch website; all of the finalists can be viewed on the latter's website.
