The park had two edges; one fronting the Maidan and the other fronting the city. Since they had to have varying qualities of transparency, they were treated differently. A brightly coloured semi solid wall fronted the grounds, while a see through fence formed the interface with the road. Wanting to give something beyond the regular, the park has two focus areas; one is of course the children’s play area and the other, a fountain sprouting out of a paved plaza as a value addition. Kids can play in these fountains, synchronized to music. The plaza can be used to walk on when the fountain is not in use. Ambient lighting plays an important role in focussing attention on the spaces, especially in the late evenings.
