The courtscraper moniker comes from combining two residential typologies – the courtyard building and the skyscraper; the courtyard is evident in this view from the southwest and Hudson River Park.
A closer view of the sloping south elevation, which culminates in a point like a warped pyramid.
When seen head-on from the west, the building's form appears very slender. Mounted to the stepped concrete structure are rails for attaching metal panels, some of them visible in the previous two photos.
The norh façade features a serrated facade with angled bays for grabbing some precious sunlight in the morning hours.
The east façade also has angled bays.
When seen from the east, the tower appears like a slender pyramid.
