A Kingdom, Not an Office, for King

Adolfsson & Partners' design for the office of King, the maker of the wildly popular Candy Crush Saga and other games, takes the playfulness of tech company workplace design to an extreme in what the designers call "The Kingdom."
When we compared four prominent tech company headquarters last year, the designs tended to be open and relaxing environments in industrial buildings left exposed. There seemed to be a move away from slides, games and other ways of making the workplace "fun," but ultimately the work environments were designed to jibe with the company's brand and their ethos. Such thinking is clearly evident in King's Stockholm office. Sweden's Adolfsson & Partners mined King's 200 games to create what they call "an environment where everyone can move and work in their world of games."
