The sixteenth century Palazzo San Bonifacio design refurbishment has been conceived with the utmost respect for existing structures and finishes of great historical value. The original layout of the rooms was not altered.
The pedestrian entrance on the ground floor is placed on the axis of the long hallway ending with the great staircase to the first floor. The first floor is the main floor of the building and features a large living room overlooking Via Andreini and a sequence of spaces terminating in the frescoed hall with Don Quixote adventures.
The rooms have mantained their original configuration, except for the insertion of the elevator and the formation of service rooms, such as closets and bathrooms, to adapt the property to current living standards. Two separate staircases go to the second floor and a further access is through the lift located at north of the great staircase.
The design focused on the draft of the interior architecture, with great attention to the lighting, in order to enhance the environments and the quality finishings. In particular, light is used to highlight the frescoes of the various halls at second floor.
The design aims also to make let all the spaces being available, adapted to contemporary living comfort. In secondary rooms there have been placed closets and the kitchen has been built with contemporary appliances and furniture, exploiting the wide spaces of the property without changing its original configuration. Bathrooms were conceived as proper domestic SPA.
