The incubator is planned as a classic block with an internal courtyard. The building is divided into two parts: It consists of the three-storey base, which comprises the first floor, second floor and second floor. The fourth storey lies on top of this as the basis for the striking two-storey steel and glass corpus above with a flexible lamella structure made of metal, glass and expanded aluminum. The rhythmic structure of the Incubator creates large terraces with plenty of open space, greenery and wide views.
The division of the architecture into two parts mixes old and new: while the reddish-brown base area with its ventilated brick façade is reminiscent of classic industrial architecture, the visually light extension with its metal element façade and external sun protection slats stands for progress and the future.
