The presence of a hazel tree in the parcel and the poem "In Memoriam" by Gabriel Ferrater give guidelines for the configuration of the spaces in Villa Maite. The poem explains how a child, the author, looks for happiness into the branches, although the fear of the unfavorable environment of the '36's civil war. The large vertical skylight, of 5x6m, works like the trunk of that tree. It allows the arrival of electricity to all the parts of the house and all the rooms run to it. The half floors rooms succession are interconnected by ramps gives continuity throughout all the living space. -Selected work - New plan building at Tarragona III BIENNIAL ALEJANDRO DE LA SOTA 2003 - Villa Maite at Reus -Selected work - FAD awards 2000 - Villa Maite at Reus
