UNIVERSITY CAMPUS
The design for the institution developed from the idea of lifting the building and allowing the wetlands to continue below the structure. The open spaces and community areas of the campus were then integrated with the wetlands to create a unique, yet responsible response to the context.
The buildings were drawn out as linear bars placed on the wetlands, with a series of open spaces along the length which opened up into public spaces and break out areas for common usage by the students. A series of open and semi-open spaces link the buildings while maintaining a constant connection with the outside. The elevation reflects the buildings orientation and responds to the climatic considerations of Kerala.
