The site is located in a quiet area, with only a six minute walk from JR Harajuku station. The existing 25 year old reinforced concrete building with four floord was repaired. The living space on the third floor was fully renovated. The accommodations were designed with a consideration for the thermal environment; interior thermal insulation was used but openings were reinforced. The tranquil living space was created with a simple floor plan and materials, and an employment of natural light.
