The intervention involves the transformation of a commercial premise in the Poblenou neighborhood into a residential duplex. We are talking about a compact, practical, and well-lit dwelling achieved through a design that focuses on courtyards, terraces and optimising space.
The foyer is conceived as a green transition area leading to the living room, facilitating a smooth transition between the street and the relaxation areas of the residence. This creates a distance between the door and the street, where vegetation and a respectful area are situated.
To access the upper part of the residence, the staircase becomes a light and sculptural piece, supported by moving black profiles, with a step detaching itself from the staircase to become a bench.
Upon reaching the upper floor, the wide and luminous terrace stands out, radiating light into the interior. Additionally, an engaging workspace is created where the furniture faces the entrance and the double-height area.
