The site facing a corner lot was heavily trafficked by passersby, and it was necessary to enclose it with an exterior wall with few openings to maintain the privacy of the residents. Two courtyards with different characteristics were placed here. One is an open garden used for socializing with neighbors, and the other is a private garden with few elements created for admiring the maple trees. Furthermore, an external staircase was built in this garden to connect it to the external terrace located to the south of the second-floor dining room, thus creating a configuration in which the three external spaces are connected to each other while changing their relationship to the interior space. Each of the exterior spaces has a wooden fence and wooden louvers, and by carefully manipulating the pitch and angle, we aimed to create an environment appropriate to each location.
