Stratford Kiosk (Competition Entry)

In the view of the 2012 London Olympics, the competition brief asked to design a pavilion and kiosks in the Meridian Town Centre of Stratford which would create a striking symbol for the town centre as well as serve as a meeting point for visitors arriving at Stratford via public transport.
The designer’s response to the problem was a linear “Pavilion which provides a significant architectural intervention in the surrounding urban fabric. Three materials were chosen to define this – A Curled wooden canopy.
