The intervention involves the recovery and reuse of the building know as Ex Caserma Gnutti in Via Crispi - Via Moretto.
The complex consists of:
1. a main building formed by the union of four bodies, which develop around a central courtyard with access from Via Crispi;
2. a cluster of buildings located in a second service courtyard;
3. a church overlooking a third courtyard.
From 1804 to 2007 the complex was used as an Arsenal, barracks and officers' club. The project proposal aims to incorporate the value of the property in combination with the new destinations requested by the client. The elements, which characterize and define the layout of the building and its documentary value, are the object of maximization of the intervention of conservation. Particularly:
- the typological system;
- the decorative elements;
- the architectural elements;
- the planimetric layout of the individual bodies that make up the overall layout;
- the wooden roofing elements.
The project plans to allocate the property to predominantly residential functions or to serve the residence.
