- Winner, Master Plan with Campus Expansion, 2008
Commission secured was for master planning of a 7 acre campus along with architectural design for 70,000 sq ft of additional floor space. The addition was to house R&D incubation labs, academic facilities and student residences.
The proposed design allows maximum integration of architecture with nature-landscape, through provision of peripheral open to sky courtyards. Academic institutional character is expressed primarily in the interior street, a transitional space conducive to informal discussion and intellectual exchange 'outside the classroom'.
The perforated roof of the interior street incorporates a raised clerestory roof with circular skylight and vents that provide a natural dappled light quality to the interior while allowing the building to breathe.
