CITY REGENERATIVE
City Regenerative builds itself, transforms itself, and provides for itself in order to achieve social, economic and ecological sustainability. It was a competition project that was developed in collaboration with FXFOWLE Architects, New York.
Expanding on the precepts of Copenhagen’s celebrated “Finger Plan”, City Regenerative weaves green spaces, waterways, neighborhoods and commercial nodes into the Nordhavnen Redevelopment Plan to ensure that people are always able to access open space, parks, natural areas, neighborhood services as well as the harbor.
Like Copenhagen’s Finger Plan, City Regenerative is organized around the following key principals:
. Urbanization will develop in slender fingers
. Green wedges of parks and open space will remain between fingers
. Commercial Nodes will follow public transport
. Inhabitants will live in close proximity to green spaces, bike lanes and public transport
